FAQ
Q: I have a 4 tonne jib but I only lift loads between 1 and 3 tonnes. Can I install the Maximum Capacity Limiter system to become AS1418.19 compliant?
A: Yes. The Maximum Capacity Limiter will limit the maximum capacity of your 4 tonne jib to 3 tonnes. This will give you AS1418.19 compliance without having to install a more expensive rated capacity indicator.
Q: Is the MCL a rated capacity indicator?
A: No. A rated capacity indicator displays the current rated lifting load. The maximum capacity limiter only indicates when the maximum lifting load has been reached. If you require a rated capacity indicator see Model 6245 Telehandler Safety Appliance.
Q: Is the MCL compatible with forks and other attachments?
A: Other attachments can still be used on the machine, but they won't be rated capacity limited (the green tool LED will not light). The MCL has been specifically designed for jib's with lifting loads less than 3 tonnes. See Model 6245 Telehandler Safety Appliance for a rated capacity limiter for all types of attachments.
