General Information

The following pages contain information related to load management systems on construction equipment.

Differences Between LMI and RCL

Longitudinal Moment Indicator (LMI) – Measures the weight applied on the rear tyres. As the weight on the tyres decreases the LMI increases. Rated Capacity Limiter (RCL) – Measures the weight of the lifted load and compares it against the maximum rated load for the current boom angle and boom length. Click for a more detailed description of an LMI and RCL.

The Gen3 Dynamic Stability Triangle

The Dynamic Stability Triangle is the basis for determining both longitudinal and lateral stability on a telehandler. The EQSS Gen3-LMS displays the stability triangle and the Centre Of Gravity within the triangle.
